Sawtooth Sports Training is a multi-sport club for athletes to further themselves in athletics. Here at Sawtooth we offer strength & agility training, skills training, professional nutrition advice, sports psychology, and team clubs for baseball & softball . Our goal at Sawtooth Sports Training is to develop the athlete in and out of the gym, focusing on making you a stronger and better athlete.
MEET OUR STAFF
CHAD IVIE- General Manager/ Partner
Chad comes to Sawtooth Sports after leaving a 12 year career in Law Enforcement for the City of Caldwell. He is a graduate of The College of Idaho where he played basketball for 2 seasons for the Yotes.
Chad and his wife Angie have been married for nearly 17 years and they have 4 children.
For the last several years, Chad has been involved in coaching youth baseball and basketball in the west end of the Treasure Valley.
Chad is excited to join the Sawtooth Sports Training team and thrilled to offer athletes in the Treasure Valley an opportunity to have a state of the art facility to train in to help develop their craft and compete in any given sport at a high level.
JERRY HOLLOW – Coach
We are beyond excited to be able to announce Sawtooth Sports has hired Jerry Hollow as player development coordinator.
Coach Hollow’s coaching history includes coaching state champions at Vallivue (Caldwell) in 2001 and Capital (Boise) in 2009 and 2014. Hollow served as Field Coordinator for Boise State Baseball before the program was cut. He also has held multiple coaching roles with the Boise Hawks in recent past and helped pioneer club baseball in the Treasure Valley when he helped coach the Idaho Cubs.
In 2011, he was the American Baseball Coaches Association National Coach of the Year/Region 7. Hollow is a three-time Idaho coach of the year and three-time conference coach of the year. He was also an associate scout for the Milwaukee Brewers (1992-97) and Texas Rangers (1999-2003). Jerry has two sons, Tyler and Kaden.
Tyler is currently an assistant coach at Iowa Western and Kaden is currently a catcher in the San Diego Padres organization. Both Tyler and Kaden played college baseball at Utah Tech (formerly Dixie State UT). Jerry has been very good for baseball in Idaho and we are fortunate to have him lead our player development program to not only help our Sawtooth Catch players but anyone who wishes to get more out of their baseball experience.
BRIAN WOLFE – Pitching Coach/Coordinator for Sawtooth Catch Baseball.
Brian graduated from Servite High School in Anaheim, CA and was drafted as a 6th round pick RHP to the Minnesota Twins.
He played 8 seasons in the minor leagues, 3 seasons in MLB for the Toronto Blue Jays before transitioning and playing 9 years in Japan in the NPB, winning 2 Nippon series championships.
Brian and his wife have 3 beautiful children.
Brian is in his 2nd year as pitching coach/instructor at Sawtooth. He has extensive experience coaching in the Treasure Valley for the last couple years and is excited to to continue to work with the kids at Sawtooth Sports Training.
We couldn’t be more excited to have him. Another piece in place in the puzzle of success.
